Event Setup/Teardown Support Team Members (4)

The Sayre Hospitality Group is seeking to hire four team members to serve as Event Setup/Teardown team members. In this part-time position, the team members will participate in the setup of events and provide support to the catering team at the three Sayre Hospitality Group event venues: Greystone Event Center in Wooster, Waters Edge Event Center in Ashland, and White Oak Event Center located at The Pines in Orrville; specific duties include:

• Ensuring venue setup meets the expectations of the client (table placement, chairs, etc.)
• Setting up assigned event with all the needed props, culinary equipment, and linens
• Providing client with suggestions and feedback for a smooth and efficient setup experience
• Tearing down equipment/set-up items after an event (either same or next day)
• Assisting in maintaining and cleaning of props, china, flatware, and other equipment

To carry out these duties, the successful candidate must possess the following skills and abilities:

• Reading and interpreting venue setup layouts
• Using effective communication skills
• Working independently with little supervision during the setup cycle
• Ability to work quickly, effectively and efficiently during the setup of an event
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to interact with clients and guests in a kind, professional manner
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to be carried on the company’s vehicular insurance
• Ability to follow directions
• Team player
• Ability to lift, move, rotate heavy items, including tables, chairs, China, portable dancefloor, risers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay range: $15-$20 per hour
