Brian’s parents, Sam and Sue Sayre, founded the company in 1983, as a single pizza shop. At the age of 8, Brian was assigned the job of making the pizza boxes at the salary of $25 per week. From his weekly pay, Brian was taught to budget for school lunch tickets, church tithes and his savings account. When he graduated from Smithville High School, he joined the company fulltime while also attending the University of Akron. He earned an associate degree in business management.

In 2000, Brian was named President of SHG. From that point, he worked tirelessly and with focus alongside his dad, mom, and sister to grow the family business. Together, the Sayre Family expanded the company to four pizza shops, a coffee shop, and a very small catering company. Fast forward to today and the Sayre Hospitality Group has experienced a multitude of changes and challenges, resulting in the development of a company that includes multiple brands providing hospitality services to families, clients, and corporations all over Northeast Ohio.

Brian takes seriously his responsibility to be an active, participatory member of his community. As a part of that responsibility, he is active in numerous organizations. In addition, he serves on the following boards: Breakway Ministries, Care & Share of Wayne County and the Orrville Chamber of Commerce.

Brian and his wife Amber, who have been married for almost 19 years, have two children, Emma and Nickolas. They live in Smithville with their chocolate lab. Brian enjoys traveling with his family, especially with Amber when the two of them can sneak away on a quick getaway. Together, they have traveled extensively and experienced some amazing travel adventures. As their children grow older, Brian hopes he and Amber can travel with them more.

Brian is blessed to do what he loves, and he loves what he does. Although the hospitality industry is filled with many challenges, the rewards of operating a successful service-based company far outweigh those challenges. Brian works from a perspective of serving others and making people happy by providing for them an exceptional experience.
