David Drumm joined Sayre Hospitality Group in January 2026 as Director of Restaurant Operations, bringing with him decades of experience in multi-unit restaurant management and leadership. A Wooster native, David has built his career around strong operational systems, team development, and delivering consistent guest experiences.
Throughout his professional journey, David has held leadership roles with Mike Mariola Restaurants, Hecks Group, and Spunkmeyers Pub, managing multiple units and guiding teams through growth and operational improvement. His experience across various markets — including Denver, Greenville, Atlanta, and Marietta — has shaped a well-rounded, adaptable approach to hospitality leadership.
David and his wife Wendi have been married for 30 years and are proud parents of two adult children and grandparents to two teenage grandchildren. After spending 20 years in Orrville, they now reside in Wooster. At home, they are happily owned by two cats.
Beyond his work in hospitality, David has a creative side — having acted professionally on stage, in commercials, and in voice-over work. Whether leading restaurant teams or performing under the lights, David brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for connecting with people.
