Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Director of Venue Sales, the Venue Sales & Event Coordinator will play a key role in venue sales, event planning, and client relations. This position requires an energetic, organized, and client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed information and guided tours of SHG venues to prospective clients.
  • Assist clients in matching their event vision to the ideal SHG venue that meets their needs and expectations.
  • Oversee the scheduling of all events across SHG venues to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create, manage, and maintain event, client, and catering files.
  • Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and via email to plan and execute event details.
  • Manage and update sales and event calendars.
  • Represent SHG at community and business events, weddings and receptions along with bridal shows and tastings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing individual and corporate clients to drive bookings.
  • Master the CRM program in order to maximize potential client leads and communication with clients who select our venues.
  • Develop and nurture positive partnerships with vendors and service providers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and client satisfaction.
  • Support day-of-event operations and assist with tastings, setups, and event preparation.
  • Contribute to developing and refining processes that increase sales, enhance relationships, and improve operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.), Google Workspace tools, and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Exceptionally organized, with strong attention to detail both in-office and on-site.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to address client needs effectively and professionally.
  • Problem-solving ability and resourcefulness under time constraints.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional presence and demeanor when representing SHG at client consultations and events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident telephone etiquette.
  • Experience collaborating with culinary and catering teams to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional service.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for hospitality and client service excellence.

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
