Job Overview – Junipers General Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for Junipers Restaurant to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in casual dining and quick service environments, with a passion for hospitality and team development. As the GM, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of food quality and service, and foster a positive work environment that encourages growth and excellence.

Currently, Junipers Restaurant is open 3 days per week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) from 4pm – 9pm, with the ability of clients to reserve the restaurant for private events on Sunday – Wednesday. The selected candidate will work about 60% of the work week at Junipers and 40% at the other food service establishments, including the Golden Bear, along with time spent on other related duties as assignment by upper management and the Director of Restaurant Operations.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling waste.
  • Coordinate catering services and banquet events to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or feedback promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure menu quality and consistency.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
  • Work as an, “hands-on” member of the restaurant staff whether you are in the front of the house, back of the house, or behind the bar!
  • Provide in-person support for other food service establishments by working on-site with current managers at these sites, specifically, the Golden Bear in Apple Creek.

Skills

  • Proven experience in casual dining, catering, or banquet settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and health regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and guests alike.
  • Experience in kitchen management or hospitality management is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
