Position Summary

Chameleon Café is seeking a full-time Café Team Member to join our team. This position is a versatile, cross-trained role that supports front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Team members will be trained to work the front register, prepare beverages as a barista, and assist with kitchen food prep. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys engaging with customers while contributing to high-quality food and beverage preparation.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Hours of operation: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Schedule details to be discussed with the candidate at the time of hiring)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the front register
• Accurately take and process customer orders
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to company standards
• Assist with food preparation including sandwiches, salads, and soups
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Previous food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn multiple roles within the café
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
