Job description – General Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of service and quality the customers of Lem’s Pizza have come to enjoy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, culinary arts, and food production, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage budgets, a desire to foster a positive work environment staffed with properly trained employees, and a commitment to the vision and mission of the Sayre Hospitality Group. This leader will be expected to serve as a, “working manager,” providing a hands-on approach in the daily operations of Lem’s Pizza.

Duties

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the establishment, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Supervise staff across various areas of service, including ice cream & food service, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Oversee food management processes to maintain quality standards in food production.
  • Collaborate with SHG Corporate Human Resources Department to manage the conduction of interviews and the hiring of new staff members, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
  • Develop and implement budgets, monitoring financial performance to achieve operational goals.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative menu items that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced effectively.
  • Collaborate with other key organizational leaders on a corporate and lateral basis to ensure proper execution of corporate goals, vision, and mission.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management within a hospitality setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike.
  • A passion for preserving the history of Lem’s Pizza while enhancing the overall experience for all guests.

In addition to the annual rate of pay ($45,000 – $60,000), the person hired for this position will have the opportunity to earn performance-based pay incentives/bonuses.

This team member will be expected to work approximately 50 hours per week, as a hands-on, in action manager, with the specific work schedule to be developed soon after hiring.
