Seasonal Person in Charge – Job description

Overview

This is an excellent position for a college student, teacher, or other person who is looking for a seasonal leadership position! We would like to hire our candidate by May 1st, begin training in the month of May, with the candidate well-established in the position by June 1st.

The Person in Charge (PIC) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Golden Bear, a local favorite ice cream shoppe & grill. This seasonal position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent time management abilities, and a passion for training and development. As the PIC, you will be instrumental in driving sales and ensuring inventory management while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Manage cash register operations, including transactions and balancing at the end of shifts.

• Assist in training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability.

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in cash register operations and basic accounting principles.

• Experience in training development to enhance team performance.

• Available both opening and closing shifts

• Ability to sell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our team’s success as the Seasonal Person in Charge (PIC), working 25-30 hours per week.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
