Village Catering Culinary Manager

Job Overview 

The Sayre Hospitality Group and its family of hospitality-based companies are excited to announce our search for a skilled culinary manager for Village Catering. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in kitchen management and employee leadership.

Responsibilities

· Oversee all culinary operations including recipe execution, food preparation, and presentation

· Manage kitchen staff, conduct training sessions, and ensure high-quality service standards

· Performing/overseeing execution of quality control processes

· Maintaining adequate food and supplies inventory to keep up with demand

· Ensuring all culinary and kitchen teams maintain clean and organized kitchens and holding all kitchen team members to the high level of cleanliness & organization expected in a Sayre Hospitality Group, Inc., kitchen

· Addressing concerns expressed by kitchen staff

· Elevating serious concerns to Upper Management and/or Human Resources

· Tracking kitchen finances to identity areas of potential savings and waste

· Managing flow of culinary job files by reviewing and assigning culinary job files and delegating culinary responsibilities as needed.

· Monitor and control food costs while adhering to budgetary guidelines

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment

· Collaborate with the management team to create innovative dining experiences for guests

Requirements

· Proven experience in culinary management, preferably in fine dining or catering environments

· Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food trends, and customer preferences

· Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage kitchen staff

· Proficient in budgeting and cost control measures within a culinary setting

· Ability to provide exceptional customer service and uphold high standards of quality

· Experience in staff training and development is a plus

· Previous experience in culinary operations is advantageous and preferred

· Team player

· Ability to manage multiple culinary projects with competing deadlines

Work Environment

· Full-time 50 hours per week position

· Weekly /daily schedule is driven by the culinary needs of Village Catering

· Salary is commensurate with experience
